Islands have always inhabited our imagination. Using precise compositions and light that borders on the dreamlike, the first images recreate, from the aesthetics of the collective imagination, the common idea of paradise: untouched coastlines, open horizons, and the echo of a timeless sea. But the journey does not end there. The second part goes deeper into another realm: that of memory. There, shapes blur, colors transform, and the landscape becomes a sensation.

Between the clarity of reality and the abstraction of memory, i s l a s approaches the duality between idealized representation and subjective perception of the landscape.  

The work invites us to reflect on the distance between what we see and what we remember, and on how the still image can be as ephemeral as the experience that originated it.
